buy a car no title
#7
I think it should be run thru the police. If it's ok, then buy it on 'bill of sale'. Cars are sold that way all the time. Check with the laws in your state as all of them seem to be differant....
Titles can be had but they cost lotsa money thru a couple differant private companies. If the car turns up on the nationwide 'hot' list they can't help you.

10 years down the road, 20K plus invested, your older & less inclines to race it, & you decide you just want to enjoy driving it ocassionally to shows and on the street? To enjoy time with your kids & maybe give too one fine day? I'd get a car with a good title no matter what IMHO....
