Default Need help installing hood pins on my 95

I bought the mr gasket hood pins for my 95 and have some questions about installing them. I removed the bump stop for the hood. Do I remove the base? Or do I drill the hole on the base for the stud? What is the correct way to do the installation?

Which kit did you buy? Does it say to remove the bump stop?

Then don't install them at the bumpers. Leave them there and install them on either side of them so you can still have the stop for the hood.

Or do like Ive always done. Mount them where the bump stops were the take a piece of rubber hose and cut that to where you want the hood to stop. Then I usually put a washer that is coated on the pin sitting on top of the hose and there you go, you now have hood pins with bump stops.

Most people mount the pins in place of the bump stops is for the ease of drilling the hood and having everything line up easily. It makes it much easier due to the hood already has the dimple showing you exactly where to drill. Good luck.
