Default WOW...4 tenths from headers!

I'm always changing stuff on my car and this has to be the best some what cheap mod ive done. i did this a few months back i just finaly made it to the track for the last test and tune of the year.

i swapped out my Ford Motor sports shorties for BBK equal lenght shorties (had long tubes and didnt want to mess with them so i sold them) I also changed from a old no name H-pipe to a BBK x-pipe and from the Flowmaster American Thunder cat back to the SS Magna Flow system.

i knew after the install that the car had more power and was shocked when i hit the track.

Preveios best. new exhaust
2.102 60ft 2.02 60ft
14.290 @97mph 13.823 @100

Anyone eles think thats alot just for an exhaust update???

nothing else was changed on the car from previous run early this year. not to mention i had a full tank of gas and 100 pounds of hunting gear in the car.. it was a spur of the moment thing.

Air temp was about the same the 14.2 it was in the low 70's but the humidity was higher, this past weekend it was 68 but little to no humidity. the biggest difference i notice is it pulls hard all the way to redline now vs kinda falling on its face in the old set up. it also comes off the bottom harder. I'm very impressed with the new set up. I did the work my self and it was about 950 for everthing well worth it IMO.

i forgot i also changed the O2 sensors cause i couldnt get the old one's out of the H-pipe. Would that make any difference?

my last mustang ran a best of 14.5 during the summer

then i raced at tasca mustang showdown and it was 37 degrees out. first pass of the day at 8am ran 14.3 with a 2.5 sixty foot! second pass was 14.2. made one more before being eliminated but i ran a 14.1

i wish i could have kept going because it was just getting faster lol

it was an auto with simple bolt-ons. launching off idle.

Many things could have affected the difference but i would believe at least .2 from it. The rest could be you got better at driving, track prep, weather...

I'm working on a video, but I'm wicked busy latey. I have new born son and its Bow Season so I'm either holding my boy, at work or in a tree.

I have those Ford Motor Sports Shorties if any one wants or needs them.
Their just in a pile of other misc. parts in my garage.

Oh and it sounds SO much better, its quiter in the cabin but full throttle it still roars nicely. It totaly changed the cars attitude. Its a much thicker sound if that makes sence, deeper, sounds faster than it is kinda thing.

Humidity can have a big impact on power output, since it slows down combustion rates.

Best trap 107.11mph, we'll see what the new intake/carb setup does.
