what size do I need to go to when I drill and tap the hole for the ACT sensor.I got a buddy now that has an 85 chevy truck that's running 13.30's @103, so now I gotta play catch up,so I'm gonna be dropping weight now and will have some 9" slicks I can put on it

I just drilled/tapped my lower intake for an ACT, what size do you want to know, tap or drill bit or what?

Well the tap is 3/8-18 NPT and the bit i used was 9/16" They say to use a 37/64" bit but good luck finding one of those. 9/16" is very close and works fine.
NPT is National Pipe Thread and it's actually tapered.

x2 yea do that. i used the 9/16" bit aswell and the the same tap. worked just fine
I was gonna tap mine myself, but the drill bit and tap was nearly $20. So I had a machine shop do it for $20, which was well worth it, plus i didn't have to sweat messing it up.

Yeah the parts were expensive but now I have the tools.
Why do you need to drill for it though, I thought foxes already had it in the lower intake.
