Default AC bypass?

so i got told to order a belt that bypasses my ac pump and that it would give me like 15 or 25 extra ponies... but the guy who told me... isn't exactly all there, is this a true fact? but he also has a friend who says he bypassed his power steering for an extra 25 horsies... so idk. i want real answers.

you might loose a few ponies but it's not worth it.the power steering is only working on a turn when your not moving.the ac is on a clutch.the only real reason anyone takes it off is to save weight on the front end. it's like saying "if i skip lunch i'll be lighter so i'll go faster" not worth the hassle of switching belts.if you are worried about it buy the delete kits and manual rack.but it's all about wieght or road feel indirectly making you go faster.the best thing i have noticed is stop listing to people and hp is something lots of people have worked hard to figure out so if they sell kits or parts for something you probably need it. the only free hp on your car is advance timing. tuning in general. allmost everything costs cash.

People say it frees up hp because it reduces drag on the engine, because it is one less accessory for the crank to have to turn. I doubt youll see dyno numbers like that, but in the overall scheme of things, it wouldnt hurt to bypass

With the a/c off, it's basically just an idler pulley anyway.

According to that genius, just take the belt off and gain 100hp

If you took the whole ac system off and changed it over to manual steering then the weight lost would help but taking a belt off does nothing.
