the cardboard one was a valvoline ( good eye)
the other was a amsoil ,
my brother- in law came over , last time he had his oil changed at the mobil-1 quick lube near his house.
he was shocked at the filter used , when the oil change ran him $55+
same story, different filter cardboard and plastic , and the bypass spring is a piece of tin, vs a real spring like the amsoil one had.

+1 my dad's van has 198k on it almost all with Supertech oil and it doesn't burn a drop. Imo Mobil 1 is a rip.

no matter what I'll always stick with my fl1a filter and castrol 10-30

85 mustang: parts car for now

Best time 13.7@ 102 mph 2.074 60' on street tires(in the '85)
Best time 14.3@ 96 mph 2.13 60' on street tires(in the '91)
