Default Couple problems i need to troubleshoot

Hey guys, havent been here in a while, and ive got some random crap going on with my car, thought id get an opinion on em

1. Ive got a backfire, it normally happens when im below 2k rpm under a good bit of load (i.e shift to second going uphill, at about 1800, it will backfire a couple of times) Car was Tuned, and it was good for a little while, and the AFR was perfect, so i have no idea what could be causing this, this happened with my old untuned h/c/i motor that had 2 bad o2 sensors, and was running pig rich down low, so it had a decent excuse... but with that engine it happened below 3 grand. this motor is a completely different setup, and its actually tuned, but it has the same problem (its a quick backfire that causes a momentary hiccup in power, coming from the right bank of the engine...) I also have a vacuum leak from the intake or something that im too damn lazy to fix (sounds like i have a turbo, its kind of funny, when i get above 3k, it sounds like a turbo spooling.) that may or may not have something to do with it...

2. I have this REALLY annoying squeaking which i believe is coming from my tranny. It only happens when im moving, because it starts/goes away at about 3-5 mph, and im pretty sure its there above that, i just cant hear it cause my car is so damn loud. i cant really tell if its my tranny, or a wheel bearing or something, my friend said it sounded like it was coming from under the car (couldnt tell if it was the pass front wheel bearing or the tranny) i thought i might have been low on fluid, so i replaced it, that KIND OF helped, it is still there, and it is louder some days than others... Its not the TOB, 1 because it only happens when the car is moving, and 2, clutch position has nothing to do with it, it sometimes gets louder when the car gets put into gear.

i might try to go get a video if someone needs it to try and diagnose...

1. fix the vaccum leak
2. put the car on stands and use a stephascope to locate noise

I had a similar problem... the squeeking noise turned out to be the clutch fork slightly moving back and forth cause the pivot ball got a little loose after i put a new one in, tightened it up, and hadn't had any noise since.. i also readjusted my clutch cable too though at the same time.

When did you blow the h/c/i motor? You had AFR 165's, correct?

Hoodlum, i honestly dont see a way that could be the problem, if that were the case, it would go away or change when the clutch is depressed, its not

83, happened back in june, and yeah, i had AFR 165's a crane 2031, and an eddy Perf. 5.0, all of which ive sold already if thats what youre going for. Current setup is some edelbrock heads, an E cam and a GT40 intake. Dunno what happened, but it involved the pistons and the valves (also turned out that the pushrods were grinding on the guides. That engine was basically a giant cluster****

That sucks man. My best buddy down here has a bolt on Mach and a bolt on Shelby GT. I always wanted to meet up with your car and see how a AFR headed 302 would do against the 3v & the 4v.
