Like i said he's slightly faster at the track. His best is a 13.1 @ 105 to my 13.3 @ 104. We both cut around a 1.9 60ft. on those runs. If you think about it, it's not too hard to believe. He has 30 more hp, but i have better gearing. Weight is probably similar, and so is the driver mod. The rest probably boils down to things like drivetrain efficency, aerodynamics, total power curve (not just peak numbers) etc...

My buddy has a 95 Cobra with a Trick Flow HCI package, full bolt ons, gears, custom dyno tune, and is no faster than my "bolt ons only" 04 gt. Another friend has a 94 Cobra with just gears and a few bolt ons, and i smoke him pretty good.

So, i'd consider a poweradder, or go with that LS1 if it were me personally. I had a 98 Z28, and wish i would've taken the motor with me when i sold it lol.
Ya I agree with you that 94 cobra no good! trade your 00 gt for a 03-04 cobra that's your best bet if you have the $$ and want a cobra !

ok so at first you said, "it's no faster than your bolt on only GT" and now you're saying his car is faster at the track. that makes sense. It doesn't matter what happens on the street, street races mean nothing. The track shows whats up.

What gear is he running?

Well, that torque number is a spike at 3k, and then it drops to around 480 ish at 3.5k, while continuing downward like normal.

It does matter when you are comparing car to car, and not so much driver to driver. Just because his best was slightly better than mine (it was 1 mph difference) doesn't prove the car itself was faster. When we race from a roll on the street (it takes out the possible spinning, driver mod, etc) we are practically dead even. This shows the direct difference between the 2 cars more effectively than running at the track.

I'm not trying to say the 94-95 Cobra is inferior or better or worse than a new edge gt, i'm just trying to tell the op my experience between the 2...no more...no less!

He's running a 3.73 gear.
