Default Manifold Leak.

I was told Im looking coolant from my manifold so Its time to change the gaskets.(1986 GT)
Wanted to wait till I can uprade on my manifold(Trick flow etc.) but dont want to continue driving
like it is.
Is this something that is just a matter of keeping my eye on the coolant or should
I not drive at all unless its fixed.
Also if I cant upgrade now any tips or anything else that I can do if I keep the stock manifold.
Thanks

Yea, take the hour to buy new intake gaskets and replace them. When you do, do not use the little slivers of cork for the small sections that are on the front and rear of the lower intake. Just put a 1/4 inch bead of RTV going from one head to the other and be sure to get it up to where the intake gaskets are on the heads. Do not drive your car if you are leaking coolant. You can cause your motor to hydrolock and ruin the whole thing.
