Doing a rebuild going to a 306 and need a new cam. I have AFR 165's and gt-40 tubular intake and its mass air. I do have 1.7 roller rockers which were to help my E cam and they are new so I want to keep them. My valve springs have a .550 max lift but i have a 6k rev limiter so I wont be going over 6k rpms. I was looking at the trick flow 1. I wanted something close to the E cam but a little more on the exhaust side. Any suggestions or input would help alot Thanks

Talk to some local engine builders or a cam company like comp camps or anderson ford motorsports to get some advice based specifically on your set up. My $.02.

I have one of his cams, and there are some board members here to run his stuff
yeah i figured there are some people here with his cam's but he is so highly praised over on corral thats why i mentioned it. as soon as anyone even remotely mentions cam swaps on corral its just like "jay allen!"
Im just looking for something mild I dont really have money for a custom grind was hoping to just order one out of the catalog

Why not just stay with the e-cam then, that's the cheapest route? You could take a look at the CompCams XE266HR. Pretty mild, but a nice strong torque curve to it.

Steeda #18 maybe? I run the #19 with 1.7s and it works well. You're lookin at .480 lift with 220/226 duration for about $200. Why don't you just want to keep the E cam though?
well the valve springs are brand new so id rather go with a smaller cam if needed anyone have experience with trick flow stage 1
