I guess it grabbed to well......
I wanna punch babies. WTF do I do now?
Ahh Damn that sucks... Thats what happened to me with my motorcycle brake caliper, (I never did get it out) The extractor bit is hardened steel, You can drill the bit out of the bolt.. Its gonna be a real big pain in the *** to get out now

Yea, if I end up breaking an extractor on a military vehicle I say F it and quit and it stays that way.......unless it is a major bolt that is needed then I might bring out the oxy/accel torch .

you shouldnt have used the drill with the easy out.. you need to manually twist the easy out. using a tap wrench (or whatever its called) so you can apply pressure and slowly turn it so it doesnt snap like what just happened to you

who said I used a drill on the easy out?

I didn't want to buy the $8 T-handle thing, so I turned the easy out with a adjustable wrench thing. I was slow and easy with it, but obviously gave it to much force.

I dont think I will be able to do this myself without damaging something. I think it will be alot simpler just to take it to a machine shop, and get them to extract this crap, or tap it for a bigger bolt. Then I can modify the fuel rail to work with it.

Hopefully its something they can just pound out, and im not waiting on this damn thing too.

Gonna call that ******* with my heads today. Hopefully I have some good news later on.

Machine shop. You won't be able to drill the hardened tap. Don't feel to bad, your not the first to ring off a eazy out extractor!

That sucks on your breaking that bolt
Thats the only part of automotive i hate is when crap like that breaks.

I broke a caliper mount bracket bolt last year on my wifes 02 Sentra so i had to take it to college and get that bolt torched out. Least to say, i wasnt happy at all when the bolt broke.
I now apologise to my garage wall everyday now after the pounding it received lol.

drill a hole in the middle. get it blazin hot with map gas. melt parafin wax(it has to be this kind of wax) on top of it, the heat pulls the wax into the threaded area(you dont see if but it is getting into the threads ) heat it back up just for a sec and put your easy out on it. it will come out like a glove
