Default Mustang project,Should I bother?

Hi,I have a chance to buy a 1986 Mustang GT with no motor or tranny for 500.The car has no rot.I have a 302 with a 3 speed auto tranny sitting here I was going to sell. The motor is out of a 1968 Ford Torino and only had 60,000 original miles.I was thinking of putting it in the GT roller.Should I bother?I have never done something like this before and just wanted some opinions on it.Would I run into a bunch of problems that I don't yet know about? Thanks

I haven't gone throught the process of building a project car but for the same price I got an 85 mustang with motor and tranny. Are you going carb or EFI??

The car the motor came out of ran great with a carb on it so I would keep it like that.I was going to look into doing a rebuild on the motor before I put it in.I was thinking just a mild cam and possibly a turbo.A guy at work told me to supercharge it but they cost too much for me.The car has a roll cage in it and some other stuff. It was a street strip, car.I thought it would be cool though to put some nice race style seats in it,new carpet and some speakers where the back seat would be.It would definately be different. An 86 mustang with a motor done from 1968.At least the picture in my head looks really good.I was thinking on a nice hemi orange paint job.The 68 motor would be a good start for me.Very basic.I'm just concerned about needing to get a custom driveshaft made or things like that. That stuff could get expensive fast. Thanks, for the replies.

the whole thing will get expensive expecially if you decide to turbo it, a turbo build isn't a simple as slap a turbo and go, the motor must be built for it/ have proper compression then proper heads, special blow through carb and carb hat and a tune in the end with proper ignition system , proper cam, ect, ect, you start to play you start to pay!
