Default how reliable are the sn95 mustangs?

Im trying to find a fun/fast daily driver with room to mod in the future. Im just wondering how tough the 5.0's are? Are parts fairly cheap for them? Any known problems with these years?

if taken care of properly, 5.0s are bulletproof, parts are cheap, only thing cheaper might be a 350.

^ absoluetly.

Lots of room for modifications, reliable, cheap/easy to work on, and they look good. Not fast stock though.

the 5.0 doesnt usually hit its stride till its near 200 thousand miles on it. take car of it, change her oil at proper times, and she'll run forever

The sn95 5.0 was only for two years 94-95 good cars and upgrades from the older foxbody style in 93 and older 5.0's and in 96 the sn95 went to a 4.6 engine......But I still like the foxbody style the best and you can't go run with an old school 5.0 engine

pretty much everything people have said so far is true including SN95s being slow stock. The only problems you'll find are things like a leaky rear main seal and squeaky throwout bearing, they really don't have any major issues.
