Best performance muffler?

Default Best performance muffler?

I'm going to be putting on an x-pipe on with high flow cats, just looking to find out the best performance muffler for this set up?The mufflers on my car have no name on them but they look new. Is it really going to make a different or leave whats there on?..... thanks

You can lose a lil bit of torque depending on the type of muffler. When I went from the mac cat back(regular mufflers) to the slp (basically resonators) I noticed quite a difference in low end torque.

Really? So why are you running them? I want slp's for the sound but I dont want to lose power.

correct me if im wrong, but i think hes saying when he switched to the SLP he gained low end torque.

LOL b/c my car is the shyt and I like how they sound! If you want SLP's get the 2's or the power flows.

Aww, da*n it all, I just got some SLP LM1s for xmas..... I have to have cats and the flowmasters weren't that loud so I went with SLPs. Guess I'll just have to like the sound and deal with the loss of torque.

Magnaflow for power. I noticed a little less low end torque with the Magnaflows over the Flowmasters, but it makes more power from about 2500-6000rpm.

I am so glad I ditched my SLP Loudmouth's for the Powerflo's.... they sound SOOOOOOO much better
