Hi all, just joined & searched for '95 GT engine mods. This looks like the most pertinent thread- I bought a '95 GT 'vert with 75K mi. I put about $2k into cosmetics, and now I'm thinking about a modest amount of HP.
The most annoying thing is throttle response-below 1800rpm, it has to kick down a gear (automatic) before any acceleration; also, the engine "lugs" below 1200rpm at slow speeds.
The stock hp of 215 is a bit disapointing, what is the best and least intrusive/expensive way to get more low-end torque/hp. Car has a cold air kit and custom exhaust.
I have access to an auto scrapyard across the st., with parts cheap; what should I look for? Any other new items, too? Under $1k for the project; I still need a new top...
