Default cracked floor board

i pulled the nasty carpet out of my stang, got tol looking at the floor pans and was very happy that they were completely rust free. then i see a crack bout two inches long just behind where the front of the seat bolts. so right under the seat about and inch in from outside. then i see its on both sides. is this a normal thing to happen on these cars? the rest of the car is solid, it had sf connectors when i bought it maybe this is y?

Very common. I have fixed a good many. I seen a T -top car split all the way cross before only thing holding it together was the rockers and they was starting to crack also. all and the metal bands they pop riveted to the floor ROFLMA some girl owned it I was looking to buy it she asked me if I wanted to take it for a ride LOL. I told her no way in hell I was gone to drive that car. it was only a good parts car

Yup, it happens. Be sure to throw some paint on it when you fix it so it doesn't start to rust. The SSP's had floor pan reinforcements so that didn't happen.

like max. motorsports subframes, they have a crossbrace that bolts to the rear seat bolts and intersect the subrame, tying in the whole bottom of the car
