So my neighbor's wife's car has a rod knock, and he was in real need for a vehicle...So I trade him my '93 Bronco (in decent shape, but with 225,000 miles) for these parts:


Ford Racing X303 heads, valves and springs
Ford B303 cam
Ford 1.6 Roller rockers + lifters

My car already has a 90mm Lightning MAF, BBK 70MM throttle body, an Edelbrock RPM Upper + Lower, 24lb injectors, adj FPR, 255 LPH fuel pump, electric fan, pullies as far as engine mods go.

What would I be looking at as far as whp with these mods? I know there is no chart to look at as far as horsepower, but I'm just looking for a ballpark figure. I had the car tuned + dynod with the current mods, and i got about 230whp, I forget what the torque figure was. Could I see 280whp with this setup? 300 maybe?

^^^no worry already done, but the cam will hold you back, an idea would be a 1.6/1.7 split rocker ratio if you plan to keep/use that cam

280rwhp is obtainable with that setup, 300rwhp would be obtainable with a better cam, letter cams are so twenty years ago.

Well I wouldn't be adverse to selling the B if I could get another one for a relatively close price, or maybe within $200 or so. Do you have any suggestions?
