93 Reborn Build
#832
I found a good deal on CL here recently.... I do currently have 3.73's but I am tired of shifting so much in town and having to push the clutch in so damn much lol..... So here soon I will switching out the 3.73's for the 3.31's in my 93. Also in mid october I will be driving the car 1200 miles back to Indiana so while I'm in the rear end re shimming it to fix my play issues I am going to swap them out. I have enough power to keep me happy for now so I don't need the gears to help compensate for it.
OOOOO did I also say I only paid $25 for them....and they only have 1800 miles on them???

TT and I went to the pick in pull and snatched up a few of the correct 70mm MAF sensors for ourselves and a few others. While there I also snatched up a set of the newer style 19lb injectors out of a Crown Vic. After installing the injectors I did have to do some idle adjustment but nothing outrageous.
I could definitely feel a difference with the swap. The more I drive it the better it runs.....
Now I am finally getting everything worked out slowly I need to focus on the rest of the fuel system. I need to work on getting the gauge to read right and I need to pick up a pick up a new or better gas tank than I have since I have a patched hole in mine that I just had to redo after 6+ months....damn rust lol..... I also need to pickup the correct pickup assembly since the 93's have a larger feed tube out of the tank the rubber lines I have won't fit my 87-89 pickup...(not sure when they made them larger but my original was way to rusted).. I would also like to get a new fuel pump since mine is a stock used pump.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did the MAF run you out there? I went to my local yard and they wanted $90 for a MAF. Did you pull the entire assembly or just the actual sensor?

Well its been a few weeks..............
Haven't done a whole lot but I have done ALOT of driving ... The car has not had one issue...knock on wood...
Last weekend I finally decided to get some window tint. I picked up some 2.5% to do my windshield eyebrow. My brother had his 4 inches below the legal line back in the day and I liked out it looked. That and since I never picked up some sunvisors it will work out great . I only took it 2-3 inches below the legal line but it keeps the sun out of my eyes great now.
I finally picked up a new tailshaft bushing and seal. I installed those today an now I have ALOT less vibration and no more annoying hum coming from the center console area. Getting rid of that noise has also quieted up the whole drivetrain.
I also picked up a bullitt shift **** from oatburner and it is MUCH better than the plain black hurst ball....the kicker with it was being able to use it because it obviously won't mount to the hurst handle without an adapter... I was NOT spending money on it lol
SOOOO I took the already shortened stock handle from my 98, shortened it some more and angled it a little. Then I removed the rubber bushing and welded on a plate so it was solid. Basically I liked the feel of the hurst handle but I still had to lean up some to get it into 5th gear. So with the even shortend and angled stock handle it looks like a little bit longer hurst handle. So no more lean to get it into 5th gear
