Hey everyone im new to the site, to be honest i was into civic's integras bla bla my brother just got a 03 mach 1 put a borla exhaust on...sounds nassty! i built the bother of my gsr engine got it tuned n he blows the doors off it...so im switching to a 5.0 soon wondering how much i would have to put into it to geta high 12 in 1/4 mile i would basicly have to fully build the civic to get into 12's...lol but yeah just wondering what would have to do like what parts n mabye how much it would cost me fi u wouldnt mind putting it

Um, a Mach will go high 12's with tires and a decent driver. Why trade for a 5.0?

mack will go 12's with some minor mods...

pretty much the same stuf with the 5.0
gears (4.10 wit 26" tire, 4.33's with a taller slick)
lt's/h
race bullet with turn downs
pulleys, cai, and a tune.
this combo was good for high 12's all day
base timing @14*

no i dont have a mach my brother does right now i have a civic n i like the way 5.0's look cant afford mach anyways lol round here there goin for 20g

4.30 gears, 28" tall slicks, shift kit (if auto), short throw shifter (if stick), retard stock cam 2-4°, install new valve springs, keepers, and locks. and a 150 shot of juice

a stock 5.0 will go 12's with the right driver

$600 gears, $600 for nitrous kit, and $300 for sticky tires will have you knocking on 11s(till you blow something out )

If he's going to touch the heads, why not get a set of GT-40s?

Buy a stock '89 to '93 Mustang... install a turbo kit, 3.73 gears and slicks.
You'll run 11's until the tranny or axles break.
