Nothing is wrong with a h/v pump. You don't need it. Save your money there.

i would never use a stock block buildin a stroker. stupid to think about. thats the whole reason i wanna go 331 instead of 347. i dont want just power, i want power that lasts. meaning a strong block and internals. i was thinking about a mexican block, but have no clue where to find one

screw the mexican block your only going to get a little more power out of it then a stock block. Get a boss block. You can pick one up for about 1500 now

Well if you are going with an aftermarket block then you can easily go with a 347..

I would totally go with a boss block its better then the sportsman by far. Theres guys I run with pushing 1300+ hp with those blocks. Its on par if not better then a Dart Block

it's gonna be far from a Corvette killer but it's a nice little build.

wrong..........all I can say is your confused with myths, I guess I'm stupid since I have a stock block 347 with a 100 shot, runs 10's and traps near 130mph............you need a competant builder to make it last, I had such, going on 3 years now!!

So why wouldn't a 331 with good suspension, tires and gears kill most vetts? Also whats the max HP you can push out of a mexican block. I'm a cheap buy myself so I would go with what I need at the cheapest prices, $1500 for a block alone sounds nuts to me. Go on ebay and get a 347 long block for $3500... Idk do whatever, seems like people get bitchy when you tell them what you want to build.

well considering a stock block will split anywhere from 450-550 hp and a mexican block only has a litter bit thicker mains and has been shown to spilt in the 600s or earlier, i would stay away from them. If he wants something thats gonna last you have to get a good foundation. If i had a decent block id be in the 9's by now, but I can't push anything else though this block before it splits.
