Question need help deciding on crankshaft and pistons

I have a stock motor right now but plan on buying another car so I can start working on the 5.0. I plan on buying a trick flow kit that has cams and heads etc. and obviously upgrading the ignition system and fuel. Only problem is I figured if I do all that I might as well upgrade the crank and pistons but I'm not sure what I should look for. Any suggestions? engines got about 123k miles on it

lol, unless you plan to build a stroker then you have no need for crank and piston upgrade. and if you do plan to go to a stroker, you sure as heck don't want to top it off with a tfs prefabbed kit. those kits are designed for 302's

no I didn't think about a stroker, I just wanted to give my 302 more horsepower without having to supercharge or turbo it like all my friends want me to do. I didn't know if I should get newer parts like crank and pistons since the car is starting to get up in miles

just rebuild your engine and have your crank turned and buy new forged pistons and get some ARP rod bolts and main studs. You will also need your rods resized or buy new ones
