Alright so i called the guy today
he said it was rebuilt when he got it in the the summer and only really used it in fall.
Ran it on a completely stock mustang
stock maff, injectors, fuel pumped even e7 heads haha
soo not to much of an external cost other then the unit
hes not the original owner and reason for selling is hes moving on to a 347 build
lowest he'll go is 1400 cause the msd box and guage set him back 300
input?

i cant really find any info on these exploding tubros...
ive only heard from owners that there good basic, somewhat reliable, and that powerdyne customer service sucks
ive found rebuild kits for $125 bucks,
how difficult is it to rebuild a belt driven turbo? and is there anyway i can check before hand if its been abused? or if this fan is about to explode haha

I would go the wideband route over a boost retarder and gauge. That way you will always know if you are having a problem with fuel. You can back the intial timing down enough that the retarder won't be needed. If not happy, you can always have someone burn you a chip just for timing for cheap.
i gave 325 for a used Zetronix wideband, boost sensor, egt sensor, and lcd screen on corral.
