I own a 1987 GT 5.0 I have installed underdrive pulleys, bb&k cold air intake, 70mm throttle body and spacer, 4.10 gears. What type of hp and torque should i gain?
A big TB on a stock intake and heads does more harm than good. The intake and head runners will only flow a certain amount of air and putting a bigger TB won't increase the amount of air the engine can get. It will, however, slow the air intake velocities and that can actually ROB you of power. They call it tuned port fuel injection for a reason... the runners and TB are "tuned" to work with each other and keep intake air velocities where they should be. It's like putting a 6' long slide on a trombone, it aint gonna sound right...
and your car aint gonna run right if you do the same thing to it. If you get a bigger set of heads and intake then that 70mm TB will do you some good.
