Project Drag Fox begins!!! 6/2/10
Ok so here begins my tear down and build. First of she was bought around a week and a half ago for $500 as a running 4 cyl fox with no rust and a complete body and interior and has big dreams of becoming my weekend race car. Since ive had it i have got the headlights, tailights, trunk interior, backseat removed and the body cheaply primered for now. I have hopes of dropping a 347 stroker in it with full drag race suspension and a half gutted interior and with wide and skinnies and a built 8.8 rear. Right now i do not have anything ordered. I will keep this thread updated as the project goes further and further.
Heres what she looked like when i first got her.

My '85 GT hatchback is about 2840# with 195# of me in it.
Time to get to work.
Things to think about........
Get manual steering rack.
Use 5 Gallon fuel cell.
Ditch all the street equipment.
BTW I run an 8.2 deck 352CID engine, C-4, And 8.8 with 4.30's.
28X10 Hoosiers and run 11.20 @ 122mph in the Arizona desert @ 3400 altitude.
That corrects to 10.95 at sea level.......
It can be done.
