Yea that would be nice. I haven't actually read any discussions about back pressure and such. Just heard from many people what I have stated, not that I'm saying it right because I haven't actually seen dyno numbers to prove it.

ok well i did have two and a half inch exuast all the way back then my girl thought she was gunna do something nice so she went and had them put on and beleive it or not itsounds great just a lil loud and the timing has been retarded a lil bit it started dong it after i had a distributor put on though. like i sid it only makes trattle and power loss when im in the pettle but now i have lost so much power it takes more for the car to get it going so it runs a lil higher rpms and i had a guy with an obd2 mac computer check the diagnostics bc i have a check engine light on and it says mass air flow and o2 sensors but idk.

plain and simple, if said where true...why does a guy run open headers at the track and pick up a tenth or two when doing such?? exactly my point........and if you want to read and can't view the link sign up to be a memger of this sight, it will enlighten/ broaden your perspective:

optimal back-pressure is 0. To learn more about detonation view my signature.

Oh and P.S. Octane rating is a fuels' resistance to burn. Running a higher octane ("supreme") is for when you experience detonation (pre-ignition,fuel igniting before the spark plug fires) with lower octane ratings. This occurs from advanced timing/F.I.

I am going to take a stab at it, even though reading your posts makes my eyes bleed (that's a hint to use some periods, maybe a comma or a paragraph). If it started doing this after the new distributor was put in, then that is where you need to start your search. Double check the timing, is it installed correctly? Check the firing order. And please, in the future, try and write a little better, it really helps us to help you.
