Exhaust/emissons

I have an 89 gt with the off road H-pipe I just transfered up to TN from FL and I need to pass emissions. I was wondering what the best way go about this was. I was thinking about buying the BBK H-pipe with high flow cats. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

post on your local craigslist to see if anyone has a stock H-pipe

Federal law against selling used cats. That is what salvage yards around here say.

the aftermarket H-pipe with cats will work though right? Also how much do you think it will affect the sound/performance compared to no cats? Thanks.

that's what ebay is for..lol, got a set for 40 beans a few years ago!!!

I still have my factory h pipe with cats if you are interested.It will hurt performance and cut down on sound somewhat when adding cats to your exhaust..I had an off road H pipe on mine for a while but added new cats,from summitt racing, to the off road to pass inspection.
