want to upgrade brakes with 1k

Default want to upgrade brakes with 1k

I need some help upgrading my brakes. any suggestions?

what about booster? And are those stainless steel lines any good?

ss lines are def a good addition while you are in there. u def want to replace your power booster and master cylinder with the matching year that you choose for brakes. also a proportioning valve would be needed. let me get the links that i used, they give u step by step directions. mike

this is what i used for all the info, it has changed a little as he charges for certain info, where he leaves off u can get all the rest of the info from the mustang central site. its a lot of info but great sites and u should def be able to get it all done with 1k. mike

What are your goals? A good street car? Or a road course monster? Makes a big differance on what parts to use.

thanks mike. What brake set up are you running?
.boB im looking to upgrade my brakes, I don't plan on going to the track all that often but I also looking for something that will increase my stopping performance over the stock crappy brakes.

i used all sn95 parts from the junkyard. at the time i was rebuilding my rearend so when i replaced my axles i went 5 -lug with a mounting plate for th rear disc. everything else including the spindles were from the sn95. hope this helped mike

This would be a start

You can also get some SVO calipers with the 73mm steel piston for like $15 a pop from advance. Stock 5.0's are only 60 mm .

Then use these on the calipers

and these to use the pads in the first kit on the SVO calipers

So for about $350 you can have better than stock braking power.
