Default Max Hp for stock 1987 5.0 block

Hi everyone,

I have a 19897 GT with a lot of bolt ons and a super charger. The Snow Meth is not working or tuned yet. I have 373 HP and 380 torque to the rear wheels. My MSD 6-al2 packed it in and I ran the last race of the season with it bypassed. I over revved spinning in 2nd gear. I blew the head gaskets.

My question is this, I have to replace the head gaskets, so I thought I would also have
installed TFS-51400010-C01 heads and a Comp Cam 35-556-8 cam. I figure with the meth, heads and cam I would be close if not over 500 rwhp. Can my motor last if I run it 30 passes a year. (or more). I know you can blow up anytime. but wanted some opinions.
Not in my sig, a new 2 stage clutch. Also B&M shifter gone, replaced with Steeda Tri-ax

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

500hp is usually the breaking point of the block. Sounds like a sick combo. The 372hp with stock heads and cam?

absolutely true by mjr!! Have heard not a dime over 500 but know of stock block cars running well over 500 and still going strong. I would start building right now though so you can get ready to drop it in when she does let go. Because if you are anything like the rest of us, we all dont know when to say when. If it works we all seem to go the next step up until it finally bites. Everyone is addicted to HP!!
