Ooohhh, guys, my car is officially a manual...
Hey guys, I just got finished working on the car, it took me 3 days, but it's finally finished, now it is stick shift, no more automatic!!
I haven't test driven it yet though, my friend helped out and he's taking a shower right now, I just couldn't wait to come online and tell someone about it, I'm pretty hyped up about driving it stick for the first time.
Wish me luck that the tranny is working good!!!

thats good to hear you will love the manual just take it slow the first couple times until you see where your shift points are and get on it and let us know how it runs

I just got back from the test drive, I know it hasn't been long, but I'm tired as hell, and want to sleep.
But I have to say, it shows that it's been 7 years since I've driven manual, I'm having a lot of trouble on 1st gear, a lot. Any advice??
After 1st gear it's smooth sailing...

I'm starting to get the hang of the 1st gear thing, but sometimes I still jump a little, and sometimes i almost stall, foot control is not as easy as some might think, lol.
Anyway, I went off guides I found on the internet, but none of them are completely accurate. Most of them skip a lot of steps, I guess to make the process seem easier. If I have time, I'll look at the two guides I have, read through them, add or change things to make it more accurate to what it really required, and then repost the entire thing here.

i just bought a 5spd 90 gt not too long ago. i think the best thing to do is slowly let out the clutch until you find the grab point. this way you wont roll back much and you halfway there. than give it a little ammount of gas and let off a little more until you start rolling and just smoothly let out the clutch. and yea, after a few days it will all seem easier.
