Default Lift-Off Hood?

I'd like to eventually get a cowl hood for my fox. Big price difference between the lift-off and bolt-on. I can get a lift-off locally for $200 brand new.

Is it a real pain to have the lift-off? Anyone go this route and regret it?

I don't have a "race car" here. Not a daily driver either.

going for the price difference or what?
why wouldn't you want the hinged hood, easier to operate, less chance of damaging the hood lifting it off. The only car I've helped with a lift off hood was a chevelle and it was awkward to say the least, but then agian it was huge compared to a fox

Yeah, all about price. The lift-off is a few hundred bucks cheaper and I wouldn't have to pay $150 to ship it. Keep my eye on Craigslist I guess...

having a lift off hood on a street car is an easy way to have your hood stolen... unless you use a small masterlock on one of the pins...

Thanks all. Seems I would be happier if I wait for the bolt-on...
