B&M ripper vs MGW

B&M ripper vs MGW
I currently have a B&M ripper shifter and was thinking about switching to a MGW. Has anyone on here had both? I just don't like the notchy feeling with the current shifter its a nice shifter. Also I seem to get a nice bit of buzzing from the shifter. I am just wondering if it would make a big difference or be pretty much the same.

Pretty much all the aftermarket short shifters will have a little "buzzing" sound to them. Its because there is more transmission noise being transferred into the car through the shifter handle. The reason being that the aftermarket shifters don't have the rubber mounts in the handles like the stock ones have. Most manuals that come with the shifters say that more noise will be transmitted and that it is normal.
As for the MGW I have never used one but have heard nothing but great things about them. I love my UPR blu thunder. Built strong. Full stainless steel handle and shaft. Love the feel. Plus a great price with a free billet handle.

I would not spend the money to replace my B&M with an MGW.
The only reason I bought an MGW at all was because the shifter off my T5 wouldnt fit the TR3550.
my B&M wasnt notchy... its probably your trans. In which case, a shifter isnt going to change ****

I cant see it being the trans when the car only has 50, 000km on it and shifts fine. I can shift fast and hard and it will never grind or anything and feels good. I just didn't know if it was possible for the shifter to change the feel of it.
