At least his pistons are teflon coated.

just like ceramic apex seal in a rotary motor...

one more thing to make you think youre gonna be faster...

Wiseco makes their piston SOOOOOOOO tight you wouldnt think theyd fit, in fact, they almost dont... but they have no coating and are the best money (IMO) you can spend on pistons... coating are wives tales...

Coatings do in fact reduce friction. However, this is typically only applied to race engines as they're torn down after every race and pretty much everything is replaced. I know some street vehicles that were equipped with coated pistons wore the coating away and caused bigtime issues (Chevy Malibu).
However, the gain on a street engine is negligible.
I've heard some people with old Chevy's have lots piston skirt wear. Where in fact the coatings do help out. But it's only necessary for that purpose. I've torn down lots of 302's and they typically don't have any wear on the skirts.

As a matter of fact they do. Federal Mogul makes the SpeedPro line of coated hypereutectic pistons. as a matter of fact I put a set in a Saturn engine I rebuilt a few years ago. Little did the buyer know that that 1.9L in there was actually a 2.1.
