Default Getting ready for coyote

I am thinking about putting the new coyote 5.0 in my fox body. It well be a couple years down the road (maybe I can find one at the junkyard by then). Any ways what kind of upgrades do I need to do to get the car ready? Also they say it fits right in place of the 4.6. What kind of mods do I need to do for the actually swap?

a really thick wallet, and some very deep pockets.

To get that kind of power out of my original 5.0 would cost me about as much as a coyote and ecu.

where the hell did you pull that number from??

with an HCI and a blower or turbo, youd be in the new 5.0 horsepower range for less than that of the motor... the motor is about 8 grand, and the ecu is about a grand... by the time you factor in a swap k member, modifying the exhaust/new exhaust, routing new accessories, bypassing the electronic power steering, and a transmission (wont bolt to a t-5 or aod) your looking at somewhere around 15 grand to do it right...

so fat wallet, deep pockets indeed....

even more so than a cobra swap....

The amount of money it would take you to swap the coyote 5.0 into your fox, would be about on par with a boss blocked stroker, and a turbo kit... which would make significantly more power than the coyote

it would be cool for the sake of being unique. but as far as power per $$$ its not even close to other builds.

You might be able to get more power, but I want a total street car. Like I said it is going to be a couple of years down the road before I do the engine swap. I need to get the car ready for the engine. So I should be able to find a junkyard coyote for a good price. Wiether or not I have the coyote or a boss 302 I would still have to do alot of the some mods. Plus having something different under the hood is a big plus. Money really is not a problem.
