Default Is this fox fast?

Ok so i got a 05 gt and had a new edge gt vert and new edge v6. Never had a fox and pretty much a retard towards the old 5.0 engine. I came across this one http://eastnc.craigslist.org/cto/2212693931.html and want it so bad. I think its soo sexy. I'm trying to talk my dad into getting it for himself and we can trade every now and then. Anyways would u say that price is good, I think its def a fair price but just wanted to check..Also if anyone knows how the car responds to the mods that the seller has posted it has could u let me know roughly what u think it could run in 1/4 and a rough estimate of hp. I wouldnt even know where to guess.

Thanks.

Seems like a nice car. I would ask some questions?

What was EXACTLY done to the motor? "Blueprinted, balanced, painted and pollished, all work was done by the same professional shop".....I would want more info along with receipts.

Need cam specs "Woverine cam"?

What was done to the heads...."Valve springs "?

If the car was a State Police car....doesn't mean anything. The car has been redone.

Over-all it sounds great. The interior is basically new and the paint is new. He did a lot of work to the car. Check the info about the motor and if it pans out....you got a nice car. He states he put $15,000 into the car, I could believe that but, if you have to pay people to do most of the work then your gonna lose most of your money when you sell it later on. He is asking $8000....that's not a bad price. I feel a fair price would be $6500. to $7500 based on it is an older car and it doesn't have a higher end motor but, if i had to have that car for $8000.....I wouldn't consider that price a shellacking!

This car, as is, will probably be a low 14 or high 13 second car....as is. That's not bad. If you want it to ROLL.....install AFR heads, 1.7 Rockers, Ford Racing X303 Cam, tune the chip & a set of 4.10s....now it will ROLL!. With slicks you should hit high 11s and that's fast enough for me for the street.

Over-all it's a nice car and I would enjoy it the way it is.

do any of you have a clue about the wolverine cam??? my guess is most of you weren't born when it first came out....for an ots cam it performs well for what it is and any attempt to remove it and install a letter cam would be a step backwards....iirc the specs on the wolverine/blue racer cam are over.500 lift somewhere and decent duration ........to the op: it has an explorer upper not cobra and if it has stock heads, I wouldn't expect alot out of it above a stock 5.0..........8k is a little pricey ...6500 seems more realistic to me

thanks...i read something that a wolverine cam was bought out by comp cams years ago or something like that. Not sure if thats true but i had read its a good cam. Also, is head work expensive. Basically i guess what im wondering is from what u see, will i have to dump a crap load in to get it fast or maybe a couple thousand. I would want a 12.5-12.9 and i would be happy. Also what is the limit on these cars for hp. I know my s197 is said 450 rwhp is danger zone. What is it for a fox?

depends on the heads and what all is the port work done?? hard to say what it could currently do, but with tires and a good driver, most mildly modded foxes should run mid to low 13's with ease as for hp range with a stock block, 450-500 rwhp is what most say to keep it under, IMO it's a crap shot, some get lucky some don't, keep the rpms below 6500 and it'll live longer
