So about a year ago I called a speed shop about a tko I heard they had. Well, a year later to the day, I went and looked at it. It has the 10 spline input shaft and a 31 spline output shaft. So instead of trying to get the guy to come off the 1100 he was asking for it, I left.

Monday I was talking with someone about it and they said that Chevy has a tremec that is the same as the 3550 for the Ford but with a 31 spline output shaft. I kinda thought that was silly since I never heard about one BUT, I did read the tag on the trans and it did say 3550 on it. So I don't know???

I remeber the old tkos and none them were offered like that. The tko1 had the upgraded input shaft and the tko2 had the ungraded input and output shaft.

So is it possible this is a chevy style 3550 and not a tko?

what does the shifter base (where the actual assembly bolts on) look like?

TKO's all 6 bolts are the same distance apart, 3550 the front two bolts are closer together...

Have you ever seen a tko with a 3550 tag on it?
