MPG questions
I have a 1990 Mustang gt 5.0 so far iv done the t-5 conversion, full exhaust, sct-4bank eliminator chip, and CAI im averaging around 12-16 mpg which i believe is to low compaired to some other foxes iv seen with even more mods but i could be wrong (considering the car was an auto with 4.10 gears)
if i were to replace the 4.10 gears with a 3.55 what mpg increase would i be looking at.
and if i were to add a turbo or supercharger in the near future how much mpg would that knock off?(after the 3.55 install)
would my mpg be better if i installed heads and a mild cam or kept that stuff stock and slapped on a turbo or supercharger?
the car is my DD but id love to have a mean street machine yet not be getting single digit mpg with gas prices the way they are. i wanna be able to blow the doors off these newer sports cars yet not be at the pump every 30 mins.
any tips or suggestions?

also, what HP gains will i be looking at for those upgrades?
i have no clue what kind of HP my car is putting out with my current mods. if anyone could give me an estimate on my HP/torque with the mods i listed, would be awesome have not had the car dynoed yet

i understand your dilemma.... but heres the deal.
mpg happens to be directly proportional to your foot on the throttle
12-16 mpg ? i bet your wrong. but i also bet you have NEVER gone an entire tank on the freeway and not ever jumping on it here and there... even if just merging.... CUZ U CANT DO IT !!!!!
lol... anyways, the gearswap will gain you about 2 mpg tops, my '93 got 23 mpg on the freeway with stock 2.73, and now i get 21 mpg with 4.10's.
the big diff ? on 2.73 i could cruise the freeway at 85, now im around 70 to keep the r's under 3k
3.55 is a good gear however with a blower since the powerband is so broad
my opinion ? keep it mild mannered as it is for DD, then spray it when some fools roll up on you
a '90 t5 car with 4.10's and a 100 shot will go mid to low 12's on a decent tire
