Default Time for a cam, but which one?

Hope you guys can help me. I need to choose a cam, but don't know where to begin. Looking not to go crazy, this is just a sunny Sunday car for shows & the family - but hey, once we're doing it why not spice things up a bit?

Here's my set up right now - 1985 5.0 LX convertible, AOD w/ 3.08 rear end, Edelbrock 600 4bbl carb, BBK headers.

Oh, and very budget conscience. I wasn't planning on doing this at all, but the ol' girl demanded it last night.

Thanks

save up for heads, cam will do nothing on stock heads except make the idle choppier and float the valves sooner...

Maybe a replacment stock grind, NAPA sells them.........
Really with the stuff you are running I think any of the 'hot' cams will hinder you more than help you.........

could go with a Cobra cam, retard it 4*, install some 1.7's and upgrade the springs, thatll give you an OK boost but not too over the top for the E5's.

go with some 3.73's too, itll feel like you added 75hp when you do them
