if you retard the cam a few degrees, you will get more RPM out of it, and potentially more power.

if your pistons will allow it i would recommend upping to a larger head

why? i figured smaller heads for more torque because the supercharger took over after 3k.

A cam swap I don't think is really much more work, maybe just a bit more mess. The AFR 165's with a blower should produce some good power but I would get a cam, even if its not a custom ground cam. Your bound to be able to find a better cam at a decent price. Just my opinion but I say why spend that much money only to keep a stock cam.

What about the steeda 19 cam? I read its good for supercharged applications.

Steeda 19
afr 165
Temporary gt40 intake

vortech 10lbs boost

Sound like it could get 420+? advice? I do not want to run into any problems like PtV problems if I do change the cam.

send a message to OnyxCobra. Thats the same exact setup he runs. And to be honest, you would be stupid to limit yourself to the 165cc heads!

There is a guy I know in my area...he ran a very similar setup that you are proposing and put down 440 to the wheels and ran 11.7s at 121mph consistently with a T5.

So it can be done with the stock cam.

no, you would be stupid, because you have probably flycut a lot of pistons and can do it with ease. I don't know how to flycut pistons and sure I could figure it out and probably do it good, but im not risking it on my first try on my own motor.

And i'm sure the 165cc heads would be a hell of a lot better than e7, gt40, or other heads like that.

That's why those of us who are actually intelligent, and who have never fly cut pistons... bring their shortblock to their local Mustang Race shop, and have them do it for $200.

Don't bring your attitude on this forum junior... I won't stand for it. I've got ALOT more experience with this stuff then you do, so you would be wise to listen when I speak.
