Default questions about going turbo!

alright i have a 1988 mustang with a carb'd 331 stroker in it it has the stock e7 heads that are ported and polished has a pretty big cam and very low miles, i know the block could handle a turbo especially since i wouldnt be doing anything over around 12 lbs, but i know pretty much nothing about turbo's and what all i would need to set it up, piping, intercooler, etc.. i would like some information on a good turbo setup for carb'd engines and kind of a point in the right direction from someone who knows more about them than i do. thankyou for the help!!

If you dont know much about turbos, You need to read up it is all out there. Then ask questions you dont understand about them. google The turboforums all the info you need is there read up on them before you make a purchase of any kind. Blow through is a different world then injection with a turbo. it works well but you need to read up first. As far as kits I would look into BG turbo kits and Pony Down they make nice kits also. then there is HP and Hellion kits also but they cost a bit more. It is not really boost that kills a stock block but more like a bad tune and RPM or just HP and with a 331 and a turbo it is not gone to be real hard to reach the limits of a stock block but your heads will help hold you back some so that in this case may be a good thing.
