Newbie here with my first post ever. I have always wanted a foxbody style Mustang but never pulled the trigger. I am a novice in car knowledge.

I am looking to buy a 1991 Mustang GT 5.0 Interceptor Convertible. What can you all tell me about this year and model? What is difference between Interceptor versus regular GT? The owner says it is VERY RARE.

What is the most you would pay for a car in good condition, runs good, [mostly stock, with 150,000 miles?

Implies was a police vehicle and convertible. You can bet this is a odd duck. Police like a solid roof over them. Keeps the doughnuts dry.

So the seller states that they made 170 of the interceptor convertibles????

132,000 miles. It was repainted 4 years. Seller says it was one of 170 convertible interceptors made. It has been lowered 2 inches. Everything is original in the inside.

Is there a way to verify it is REALLY an Interceptor?
