hey everyone. lately i have been real interested in the older 5.0 and sorry im clueless about them. First of all what can the engine hold before its not safe. I know the 05 i had could do up to 450 rwhp before it was not safe due to the unforged rods. Can someone help me out with this. Also, today i came across a 95 5.0. its 3500 with full exhaust, staggered rims, nice paint, 101k miles, 5 spd. I really like it. But before i buy a 5.0, whats it take to get 400 hp. Do i even need that much? I really just want it faster than my 05 gt with cai/tune. I know the 95 5.0 should be lighter. Could someone help me out here plz?

to hit 400 rwhp with out a lot of work, it taked forced induction, turbo, supercharger or nitrous or a well built stroker, but none of that will be cheap

well if i buy the car for 3500. How much u think it would cost to make 400 bhp...no nitrous. Any input great im open for an n/a build or forced induction. but im sure just a supercharger wouldnt get me up to 400 bhp on a 95.

You can get there with an On 3 Performance turbo kit for $1500. One of my buddies has this on his 95 Cobra. Really nice kit.

Making the power wont be very hard, making it work thru the car will! 400bhp get you about 320-340 whp.

A good stroker with a well mated topend! wont cost much if you can do it yourself!
a 347 with a tfs topend kit for example!
