Looking at buying a stroked 460 foxbody
#11
Will be posting pics tonight or tomorrow.
It actually drives pretty nice when compared to the jeep. Mileage is about the same or a little better than the jeep (jeep got 6-8 mpg)
With the electric fan, huge radiator and electric waterpump, the temp never gets above 180-190 or so.
converter stall is around 2500, so it is actually pretty mild mannered as long as you aren't on the gas hard
As for the rear locker, it is very much more well behaved than the one in the jeep (probably due to the jeeps short wheelbase and 38 inch bias ply tires)
All in all it is a ton more streetable than the jeep, which is what I was looking for. I don't care if its as streetable as stock, I only plan on getting it out once or twice a week for cruise nights and such
Thanks everyone for all the input/ opinions. I will post some pics when I unload it off the trailer tonight. (yes, I could have driven it home without the trailer, but I HAD to trailer the jeep to the meeting point)

Here is some pictures as promised.
These were taken while it was on its way back home.
The only things wrong with it were a missing sunroof glass (broken at the bodyshop that painted it) and it had a cobra insert in the grill, but the guy wanted to keep it to remember the car
I got a new sunroof glass yesterday, and the cobra insert is in the mail!

its got lower control arm relocators, narrow swaybar, that you can suck down one side of to compensate for body roll (torque up leaving line etc) Drag launch springs.
Front has tubular control arms/ k member and aftermarket springs (not sure of brand, maybe drag launch as well) it came with 90/10 front shocks in a box, but street ones installed. Also had the front swaybar removed (its going back in for street use)
has 8 point cage and subframe connectors (weld in)
This is what I could tell from laying underneath it while it was on the trailer. its going up on my lift this week for a full going through
body is very clean, not rust on the floors, rockers or anywhere else.
Will get underhood pics in the next day or so (car is at my dads shop)
the previous owner bought it from the shop that built it. He never raced it, the shop supposedly put 7-8 passes on it for tuning and was getting into the high 9's on slicks (I haven't seen the slips, but have a call into the shop for more info)

Anyone have any guess's on HP? I tracked down the number to the shop, they are gonna get back to me on full specs.
What I do know:
545 stroked 460
68 dove heads, mildly ported. Not sure on valve size
edelbrock rpm intake
hooker long tubes
huge holley on top (haven't pulled the air cleaner to see exactly what size)
very lumpy cam, barely idles (no specs yet)
not sure on compression, but it likes 93 or better
