What should I expect to pay?

What should I expect to pay?
I'm looking at having a Trans-Go shift kit and 3.73 gears put in my 95 GT. I've talked to a local mechanic who says they charge $60 an hour labor. What should I expect to pay if I'm supplying all parts?
Thanks

Gears= $400-$700, Shift kit= $200-400 pulling the valve body(I think) so maybe not having to pull the trans. If the trans has to be pulled it will be more labor. Then there is misc shop supplies charge and enviroment charge, looking at around $1200-$1500 in my opinion.

LOL according to the Trans-Go kit it is a 10 minute job.
I'd attempt it myself but I probably don't have the tools needed.
Calibration and Assembly Upgrades. Installs in 10 minutes. Crisp but Smooth Shifts. Corrects/Re-duces/Prevents: 4th band failure; 2nd roller failure; long soft 1-2 and 2-3 shifts; soft lockup; reduces accidental high-pressure parts breakage. Special Hi-tech fwd clutch rings, SOL regulator valve & EPC relief. For firm shifts use AODE-HD2

That install time is after you remove the vlv body you cant do that in 10 mins alone i`ve done a few!
The only special tool is the correct drill bit to add the holes needed to the specific location for the level you choose to reset the vlv body too.
the rearend will be 4-700 like stated above pending location the vlv body easy 2-2.5 hrs so count on 200 for that!
Doing the vlv body job you will only need to replace 5 quarts of fluid unless something goes way wrong! you will replace springs and drill 2 holes if i remember correctly been about 2 yrs since i done the last one! cant remember if you replace a piston or two.
If you do it yourself which is what i`d do lol, you can save yourself a ton of money unless a couple hundered is just burning a hole in your wallet. you remove the tranny pan, unplug the vlv body unbolt it then remove it, then you will unbolt the 2 cover plates on the vlv body one side holds all the check ***** in dont forget there location or dump them out! you need snap ring pliers or a small screwdriver or set of picks, a straight and 90* scribe will be enough. remove springs and pistons color coated and put in specified place then reassemble and add fluid and be done!

well did you buy an install kit? just cause you buy a set of gears dont mean you saved money!
you will be closer to 400 though!
parts and labor atleast 400 around here you can get it done for 275 if you buy all parts and that means oil install kit and gears!
If you dont do the vlv body install you will be closer to 800-1000$ mostlikely!
On performance installs there isnt a flat-rate guide covering it that i know of so its all up to the shop!
