help with replacement motor
#21
come again??? few in my book = 2-4, not gonna happen , by the time you pull the motor, and if using a junkyard motor, swap over any needed parts, and remove the harness most junkyards just cut and leave on there, reinstall and if no exhaust bolts broke anywhere, intall all fluids, start , purge cooling system and road test, gauranteed a solid 8-10 hr's, if you bought a new long block, figure more in prepping and cleaning parts to be reused, and this is to say in both cases you ran into no probs which gauranteed you will run into probs on a 15+ year old car, ie...siezed/rusted bolts, most junkyard motors we will intall a new water pump and t-stat to be safe. Just recently did an h/c/i on a 92, 21 hrs later it was done and I work at a steady and ACCURATE pace, ran into numerous issues with broken/rusted/stripped bolts and parts.

Just wanted to dig this post up and re hash all the drama, it's been a while since I purchased my genesis coupe and ended up getting rid of it for a family car and now I'm back on the hunt for a mustang.
I will post pictures of the genesis coupe just for fun. The car went through hell without ever replacing a tray like I was warned of. And had over 120k on it when I paid it off, I added a lot of bells and whistles and turned it into a 450hp weekend warrior with a Garrett turbo. Car was fun while it lasted.
