Which junkyard T5 do I want?
I'm doing a T5 conversion on my plymouth duster and i was wonder what's the best year of mustang to pull from for strength? I know the 93' cobra has the best T5, but that's not gonna be common.
Were all the GT's equipped with WC t5's or is it a bit of a crapshoot for finding one?

I too would suggest NOT running a T5 in your car. Although, its not my money, so IDGAF.
Depending on what your car needs for total transmission length, you could go with a fox T5 or an SN-95 T5. The SN-95 T5 is a bit stronger than the fox trans, but it also has the disadvantage of being 11/16" longer than the fox unit. My main suggestion to you is to see how much room you have, figure out the dimensions you can work with, and go from there. You might run into driveshaft issues that you wont see until its too late So what will you do then?

The engine that's going in it should be pushing in the neighborhood of 300rwhp/300rwtq.(guessing from a similar build) This is in a car that will be in the weight range of 3000lb-3200lbs without driver.
Sure a TKO is the best transmission to use if you have room for it. Unfortunately, a tko in my car requires a decent amount of fabrication to the tunnel and of course costs a lot more. While a T5 fits a lot easier

oh and one more thing, the T56 is out of the question, it works for the larger mopars, but on my car you basically have to cut out the entire transmission tunnel and rebuild it to fit the T56 from scratch.

newer than '90 is best, if you dont wanna break it down, to replace the drive gear stay with a 7t trans
on a 8t trans you CANNOT correct for 4.10 and above
