The best tranny for an auto 92' 5.0??

I just bought a 1992 5.0 foxbody with an automatic trans, that the OD went out on. My foxbody is a daily driver, but I still wanna blow the doors off the rice burners at the stoplights. Anyone have any suggestion on a good replacement tranny for my new toy?

Is the car stock? If so then stick with an AOD. A C4 is a good option when you start modifying.

you really only have 1 choice.

the best choice is ANYTHING OTHER THAN A FORD AOD

but you wanna be all bullheaded and im guessing just might wipe ur @$$ with 100 dollar bills. if not......i hope you can start to lol

lentech is your ONLY option. dont be retarded and get a stall converter less than 3000, cuz if u do you'll be on here saying

"my new trans that i just spent $4k on feels all stock...how can i tell if i really have a 2200 stall ????"
