Project Rustang Resto/Facelift
#61
Unfortunately we had to stop working on it yesterday for the weekend. The body guy we have on the project had a family emergency. Hopefully we can continue it this coming weekend.
Here's what we came up with on the rusted out cowl:

^ It's still part of the cowl. I didn't know that either. There are three layers of sheet metal that are pinch welded together here: the inner and outer rocker panels and the cowl. When the cowl stops, it's just the rocker panels.

Finally some progress made today. A lot actually. Almost done with the cutting, still need to do both outer rocker panels and seal and coat everything we did.
This is the area that Chris completely rebuilt. He's really good at what he does.

The metal work is completely done now. The roll cage should be here this week. Hopefully we can get that done along with the torque boxes this weekend. Then it'll be a lot of POR15 on the inside and FatMat so the interior can go back in. After that the underside will get POR15 and then we can finally start the body work.
