94 GT, Key comes out while driving..
Hey all,
I hope this is the right spot to post., This forum is a little confusing to navigate compared to my other forums, but thats alright I will get used to it..
I was driving my mustang to bring it to storage when I accidentally pulled on my lanyard which pulled out the key with it..I of course put the key right back in to prevent the wheel from locking.
But what might that be? I haven't really heard one answer, just a bunch different possibilities.
Thanks in advanced

So I assume this would do the trick? Does anyone have a write up on how to install this?

yes
you dont need a write up.
Put the key in the ignition, turn it to the run position
look at the bottom of the steering column, you will see a hole.
Using a long thin screwdriver, pick, straightened coat hanger etc... reach up inside the hold and press in the ignition lock retaining pin
pull out the old ignition lock
slide new lock in
done
you dont need a write up.
