Default Looking for a fox body!

So I found this mustang on Craigslist and was hoping someone could tell me how much they would pay for it. It's an 87 lx 5.0 looks decent but doesn't disclose mileage I'm assuming over 100k. http://rapidcity.craigslist.org/ctd/2853350613.html

For that color and it being an LX, I wouldn't pay more than 2.5g's...But then again, a car like that, if it has no rust, would easily net 4g's if the condition is as good as it is in the pix.

thats tough from pics alone, but i have some questions you need to ask them and yourself.

first off see if the color code (sticker in the door says "EXT") says "8L" if yes...its sand beige
and they made 79 hatchback cars that color so its rare. heres the production numbers for '87

8L Sand Beige
LX 5.0 Sedan (P40E): 47
LX 5.0 Hatchback (P41E): 79
LX 5.0 Convertible (P44E): 36
GT Hatchback (P42E): N/A
GT Convertible (P45E): N/A

now if it ISNT sand beige than they repainted it...cuz tropical yellow didnt come out til '88 i think

anyways...assuming its rust free that price is great IMO. the 3" exhaust is too big and you may actually quicken it up with 2 1/2"

thats also assuming the headers are not stock....which wouldnt surprise me if they are.

then just check it all out...look at the engine bay....you dont wanna see a bunch of chopped wiring where some hack did a bunch of crap, cuz you could be buying a nightmare

get more details and let us know

So I called today on this car and it has about 120K miles and the interior "needs to be detailed" it's about an hour away in the middle of nowhere so I'm hoping to go this weekend and check it out. Thanks for the info and if that's original paint sounds like I would be getting a steal at 2500.
