Well,another one bites the dust.my heater core is taking a dirt nap.now I was looking on the 50resto website and I see they have a unit for 40 bucks or the ford for 140.my question is have any of y'all had any issues with the 50resto heater cores?a hundred bucks is a large price difference just because it's made by ford.another question is have any of y'all used their heater hoses?alot of aftermarket hoses don't fit worth a sh/t so I wonder of theirs fit pretty good.i also know theirs has the flow restrictor so what are your thoughts?

I bought this one for my 92 a few months back, works fine. Didnt have heat in my car for the last three years till i bought it...Dont know why youd have to pay $140 for the same thing at advance for $20...

That's why I'm trying to figure out.i know ford parts are supposed to be superior but a hundred dollar price difference is a hard pill to swallow.if it was half I'd just do the ford.soci figured I could ask you guys cause I don't wanna pull the dash every other year

Make you have the new one pressure tested before you install it. You don't want to do this job more than once.

MThe ford ones are a different material, Im not 100% sure but I saw somewhere that said they are copper, no idea. They are also thicker than most aftermarket versions. I bought one from autozone, the way I looked at it is if its going to go out again, which at some point it will, then I wont need to pay again. Then again, I don't have ac in my car anymore

The hoses that come with our kit are Ford hoses. I have had good luck with the aftermarket version. The Ford version is a copper core, and the aftermarket one is aluminum. When you get the hose kit, there is no need to buy the flow restrictor, one already comes pre installed in the hose.

Thanks for the heads up y'all I think I am gonna go with the 50resto one then.i am repairing ac and heater thats why I'm tackling the job.ac has been gone for lord knows how long and heater core just went I can't drive a black on black car in southeast Louisiana heat again lol
